Beginner Tango Classes & Social Dance with Live Music!

A fun and friendly beginner tango class. New beginners are welcome every week. No partner required!
Everyone learns both roles (leading and following) in a supportive environment.
Students are invited to stay for a social dance, the Palermo Fishtown Milonga, which starts right after the class. Tonight is a special live music milonga with Vocalist Katy Chan and Guitarist Alejo de los Reyes. On live music nights, we ask everyone to pay for the milonga, even if they have paid for the class.
8-9 pm: Beginner Tango Class
9 pm-midnight: Palermo Fishtown Milonga (an all-levels Argentine tango social dance) with Live Music
Class Cost:
Drop-in: $25
5-class card: $110
10-class card: $200
The class is free for students ages 30 and under. Just bring an ID to prove your age and sign up at the door, if you qualify for free entrance.
Live Music Night Milonga Pricing: $15-25 Sliding Scale
(If you need to pay less in order to attend, you can pay at the door into the registration box.)
We’re celebrating the National Day of the Singer (Argentina) with the luxury of dancing to the music of vocalist Katy Chan with guitarist Alejo de los Reyes. It’s been too long since we’ve had a female tango vocalist perform a full set in Philadelphia—and we are so excited! Please join us!
Please bring smooth-soled shoes to change into in the studio (i.e. shoes that allow you to pivot easily). If you don’t have anything that fits the bill, don’t worry! Dancing in socks works great! Or you can buy dance socks to put over any shoes.
