Martin Maldonado & Maurizio Ghella, both from Argentina and now based in Vienna, Austria, are internationally celebrated representatives of authentic Argentine tango tradition. We're thrilled to welcome them back to Philadelphia for a weekend of workshops, private lessons, and a special Milonga Qilombo with performance.
Saturday, August 29
Workshops, Pre-Milonga Class & Milonga Qilombo feat. a SHOW by Martin & Maurizio
2-3:15 pm: Workshop (Intermediate & Up) - Giros and “Contragiros”: change of directions without interrupting the flow of movement
3:30-4:45 pm: Workshop (Intermediate & Up) - Enrosques in Giro for both, Interpreter and Proposer
8:30-9:30 pm: Pre-Milonga Class (All Levels) - Using simple tools to create an easy and smoother Tanda at the Milonga and how to Interpret with ease
9:30 pm-2 am: Milonga Qilombo with DJ Ignacio Ondartz and a SHOW by Martin & Maurizio
Sunday, August 30
Workshops
2-3:15 pm: Workshop (Intermediate & Up) - Playing with the cadence of Rebounds to change directions and speed in the dance floor
3:30-4:45 pm: Workshop (Intermediate & Up) - Transforming the Rebound into a Giro with fluidity and how to play with its dynamics
