Advanced Beginner Intensive: October 10 & 11
The Advanced Beginner Intensive is for students who have taken our Beginner Intensive, our weekly beginner classes (approximately 8 weeks), or have equivalent experience.
In addition to reviewing and solidifying material from the beginner level, the Intensive covers topics crucial in preparing students for our regular Intermediate-level group classes. Topics include: cross system, the cross basic step, back ochos, lead-and-follow improvisation, navigation of the social dance floor, and basic musicality (phrasing and the beat).
A primary goal of this intensive is to help students gain comfort with simple improvisation so that they may both take regular Intermediate-level group classes, and enjoy social dancing. All students practice both roles.
Schedule:
Session 1 - Saturday, October 10, 2-4 pm
Session 2 - Sunday, October 11, 2-4 pm

Cost:
$80/person for both days
$50/person for a single day
Attendance at both sessions is recommended.
