About us
Discover mindful movement and body-mind integration through Tango Argentino in Vienna. English-spoken, international friendly classes. All levels welcome. No dance partner required.
A holistic approach to Tango Argentino awaits you in Vienna: Mindful movement & somatic practices for connection and community at Abrazatango by Jessica Gerdel
Jessica is a certified Tango Argentino-Yoga teacher and movement facilitator with training in Dance/Movement Therapy and somatic education, working with a mindful, embodied approach to dance and learning.
Her teaching focuses on developing body awareness, adaptability, and presence to build connection, so what you learn works in real social dance situations, with different people –and often off the dance floor too. She helps you to understand how and why you move, not just what to do. Instead of teaching you to memorize choreographies, or telling you what to fix, she creates a safe space where you can meet: with yourself and your potential, with others, and the world that surrounds you.
For more than 10 years, she's been developing her own method to help people access the art of Tango Argentino in its holistic nature. For her, Tango Argentino is a philosophy of life. A path to freedom, empowerment, and personal transformation. A door to a deeper connection with ourselves and others. It is culture, dialogue, and community. Definitely way more than a mere collection of memorized steps to copy and repeat. A practice where mind, body, and emotions meet. When learning with her, you can expect a mix of all this.
Discover Tango Argentino as a somatic practice through her English-speaking group and private classes, mindful practice sessions, welcoming socials, and comprehensive Tango Immersion Weekends that provide a welcoming, inclusive space for all bodies and backgrounds. No dance partner or previous experience required.
Explore Tango as a transformative tool for self-awareness and communication in an international community. You're welcome to learn more at www.jessicagerdel.com and follow Abrazatango on Facebook and Instagram.
