Tango Dance Class with Jonas & Xiaomin: Milonga rhythms!

Jonas Aquino and Xiaomin Jiang are back to teach their favorite topic: milonga! Milonga is danced to light, upbeat music, and it is danced at practically every Argentine tango event. The structure of the dance is identical to tango, but it has a different rhythm and mood. All levels of experience are welcome. This class is taught as "leaders" and "followers" and is inclusive to folks of all genders, non-binary & LGBTQ+.

• 6:45-7:00 pm: check-in
• 7:00-8:00 pm: tango class
• 8:00-10:00 pm: tango practica
• $20 general admission (cash only)
• $15 students with ID (cash only)
• $10 practica without class (cash only)

This class takes place in the Berkeley City Club on Wednesdays, November 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. We are in the ballroom (with wooden floor) on all dates except for Nov. 22nd, when we are in the drawing room (with tile floor).

We are a 10-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART. For bike parking, enter through the service entrance, and go straight to get to the back courtyard. No parking in the City Club lot. Extra parking is available for $2 per hour at the Ellsworth Structure at 2337 Haste St.
