Beginning tango and int. tango dance classes with Felipe and Ayano in Berkeley

Join us for beginning tango or intermediate tango with Felipe Martinez and Ayano Yoneda! This is a series of three classes held at the Berkeley City Club. The beginner class is recommended for new beginners and anyone who wants to work on their fundamentals. If you have just taken Tango 101 with us, we recommend the beginner class. Felipe and Ayano will review some of the same material and add some new material. The intermediate class is recommended for people who have been dancing regularly for six months or more.

These classes are taught using the terms "leaders" and "followers," and are inclusive to queer, trans, and non-binary people.

Wednesdays: July 16th, 25th, and 30th

6:45-7:00 pm: check-in
7:00-8:00 pm beginning tango
8:00-8:30 pm practica
8:30-9:30 pm intermediate tango
9:30-10:30 pm practica

The practicas are included with the classes. Stay, dance, and ask questions!

We encourage everyone to sign up for all three classes. Especially if you are new to tango, try to start on July 16th!

$60 general admission (three classes, beg. or int)

We are a 10-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART. For bike parking, use the bell to enter through the service entrance, and go straight to get to the back courtyard. No parking in the City Club lot. Extra parking is available for $2 per hour at the Ellsworth Structure at 2337 Haste St.

La Bruja Tango holds tango classes almost every Wednesday. We will continue in August with instructors Diego and Alejandra!
