This is an invitation to an embodied prayer dance form informed by both Kashmiri Shiva Dance or Tandava Tantric Dance as taught by tantric scholar Daniel Odier and Tantric Dance of Feminine Power out of the northwestern US.
This is an opportunity to come together with a small group in a cozy intimate setting and discover and embody your intentions and prayers together around each new moon in 2025. This is an invitation to drop more deeply into your body and somatic experience to discover and express your authentic intentions and desires in a prayer dance form for personal and collective healing. This is an opportunity to witness and be seen and heard deeply and to learn to channel divine angelic frequencies through your body for healing yourself and the group.
Tantric Dance is a deep and slow healing movement form that takes time to master and to learn how to channel divine healing frequencies and prayers through your physical form. I would like to gather a small group of five or so people to come together and commit to showing up each month in 2025. The cost for drop in for this offering is $35 and I highly encourage you to pay in advance for several evenings for 3 months for $75. Tantric Dance of Feminine Power is a dance form created by Vadjra Ma and taught by Nita Rubio out of the northwestern US. Tantric Dance of Feminine Power is a prayer dance form that works with channeling various Goddess and Divine energies. Many others teach Tantric Dance in various forms in Ashland Oregon and surrounding areas. In addition to studying with Vadja Ma, my main teacher of Tantric Dance was Felice Laurel who also mentored me in Family and Systemic Constellations and Inherited Family Trauma Healing. Felice Laurel’s Source Dance worked with prayer dance channeling angelic and divine energies and spirit animals. Besides studying with several other Tantric Dance Teachers, I have studied traditional Kashmiri Shiva Dance also known as Tandava in the himalayas with the Scholar and prolific author of many books on tantra Daniel Odier.
I also have a background as a professional dancer and earned my undergrad degree in Modern Dance and performed and traveled with several well known belly dance troupes including Domba out of Tempe Arizona and Baraka Mundi out of Asheville NC. I also did prayer-formance art with Liquid Fire Mantra out of the northwest and performed at large festivals such as Beloved Festival and Lightning in a Bottle in southern CA. I have taught Tantric Dance for many years including at large festivals such as multiple years teaching at DevaDasi Sacred Dance Festival out of SF and Earth Dance Festival in northern CA. I have studied with Zoe Jakes and been influenced by her Modern Fusion form of Belly Dance as well as Barefoot Flamenco.
After many years of learning, performing and creating choreography, I really appreciate the authentic creative and spontaneous movement form that is Tantric Dance and its ability to be used as a healing art form. As a Therapist MA MFT and Coach with a focus in Somatic Therapy and training in Expressive Art Therapies and a background in professional dance, the healing aspect of Expressive Arts is important to me.

Amazon, Spiritual Warrior And Sacred Rage And Grief Healing Temple
Burnsville, NC, USEmpress University invites you to The Amazon, Spiritual Warrior and Sacred Rage Healing Temple. This Archetype Of The Empowered Feminine is connected to sisterhood, activism, environmentalism, higher learning and sovereignty. This time of year, spring and Aries season, is associated with energy rising. It's a time when tempers can flare as the stagnant depressive energy of winter thaws and melts away. Working with our sacred rage and grief is a great way to move through the fire of Aries season and find our embodied joy, happiness and adventurous spirit again this spring season.
Well gather in a small group on private land in a natural built temple home to learn about the archetype of The Amazon and Spiritual Warrior in relation to the natural initiations in a female identified person's life. We'll be discussing how the Amazon and Spiritual Warrior shows up during different phases and inspires us to adventure, explore, and make new friends in order to find out who we really are and what we most value. We'll be discussing our goals as feminine bodied people beyond the traditional roles of daughter, wife and mother and how supported or not we've felt in this regard living in a patriarchal culture. Then we'll have the opportunity to write a letter expressing our sacred rage and grief to a person or even an institution in our lives such as patriarchy and have the opportunity to express our sacred rage and grief in a safe container supported by others in a shamanic ritual. Afterwards well tell stories about our adventures and friendships and celebrate what we are growing in our lives this spring season. This Archetype Of The Empowered Feminine, “She Who Is Unconquered And Victorious,”relates to Aries Season in Western Astrology and The Horse in Chinese Astrology, particularly The Fire Horse year which we are in. Aries season is also the time of Spring Equinox, the time of year of equal light and dark when the light grows. This Healing Temple will be followed by an Amazon and Spiritual Warrior In Person Embodiment Temple on April 18th at 7pm at The Temple Of The Blue Rose in Asheville only for those who have attended this event.
Each month Empress University presents another aspect of the Divine Feminine along with the astrological season and offers healing and embodiment temples for people who are called to work with the goddess in her many forms. Empress University is a year and a day Priestess School and Coaching Certification for those who feel called to actualize their potential so that they can impact the world in a bigger way and make a difference in the larger world. Empress University currently includes A Magdalen Based Sexual Priestess And Love Coach Training that will be a separate course in the future.
