About us
The Tarot Guild of Australia (TGA) represents a community of Tarot professionals, readers, teachers and enthusiasts. The TGA is a membership-based organization, offering those with an interest in Tarot the opportunity to become Interest or Professional Members. The Melbourne group holds monthly meetings which are open to both members and non-members of The Guild.
The primary aim of the TGA is to raise public interest and awareness of the Tarot, to promote the study of the Tarot, to maintain ethical standards in the practice of reading Tarot via professional certification and to provide a network for further education and sharing information amongst members.
The TGA offers Tarot events and workshops in major Australian cities and provides an opportunity to connect and network with like-minded individuals while learning about the Tarot.
Please note that membership of this Meetup group does not constitute membership of the Tarot Guild of Australia. TGA membership information is provided at our meetings or on the TGA website or facebook page.

The Art of Reading a Tarot Spread Presented by Doreen Van Boxtel
Kensington Town Hall - Melbourne, 30-34 Bellair St, Kensington, VIC 3031, Victoria, AUThe Art of Reading a Tarot Spread by Doreen Van Boxtel
Tarot spreads are an arrangement of Tarot cards used during a Tarot reading to gain insight into a situation that is important to yourself or your client. Each spread has a unique pattern and purpose.
The cards in their “positions” of a spread give you “guidance” in the reading. Tarot Spreads link the cards together to tell a story.
Telling a story is an important part of every Tarot Reading.
You will need to bring your tarot deck and a notepad.
Pay cash or card at the door: Free for Professional Members, $10 for Interest members, $20 for non-members
