About us
The Tarot Guild of Australia (TGA) represents a community of Tarot professionals, readers, teachers and enthusiasts. The TGA is a membership-based organization, offering those with an interest in Tarot the opportunity to become Interest or Professional Members. The Melbourne group holds monthly meetings which are open to both members and non-members of The Guild.
The primary aim of the TGA is to raise public interest and awareness of the Tarot, to promote the study of the Tarot, to maintain ethical standards in the practice of reading Tarot via professional certification and to provide a network for further education and sharing information amongst members.
The TGA offers Tarot events and workshops in major Australian cities and provides an opportunity to connect and network with like-minded individuals while learning about the Tarot.
Please note that membership of this Meetup group does not constitute membership of the Tarot Guild of Australia. TGA membership information is provided at our meetings or on the TGA website or facebook page.

The Tarot deck contains 16 court cards with each of the four suits of the Minor Arcana containing a King, Queen, knight, and Page.
These court cards are often among the most challenging to understand for those learning the Tarot. In comparison to the other cards in the deck they contain relatively simple imagery with each card containing a solitary character.
This talk will outline the court cards, the four court positions and look at the 16 characters in these cards individually. Ultimately we gain a deeper insight into who these Person’s represent along with which traits or energy is being expressed in a spread.
Nick is a Tarot reader with over 20 years of experience working with the cards and has been a full-time professional reader since 2020. Nick uses the Tarot to help clients find clarity around the situations they are navigating in life while also empowering them to be aware of their agency and choices that give them a role in creating their future. He also loves teaching the Tarot. Along with over 5 years working in a counselling setting before moving to Tarot, Nick has a Bachelor of Business, a bachelor of psychology and recently finished his honours in psychology completing a dissertation on the links between bodily awareness and wellbeing. He also works with clients from a wholistic counselling perspective. Nick took initiation into a sufi path around 2013 and has since been trained and ordained as a Sufi healing conductor and draws on the meditative, devotional, alchemical and breath practices from this tradition.1 attendee
