DOG FRIENDLY July 30th TC Telecommuters at K&A Hop Dogs

By special request of many of our members - a dog friendly happy hour for TC Telecommuters! Let's celebrate our favorite day-to-day co-workers by lettings them run around while we enjoy a beverage.

K&A is "dog park meets bar" inside and outside. This is part of "further away from downtown" strategy we employ in the summer months. This is very close to where the Beach Bums play baseball.

Several things to note about this meetup:
1. You certainly don't need a dog to come. Come for the people and the built in entertainment.

2. If you bring a dog, you need to register it with K&A. The procedure is here. https://www.timetopet.com/portal/kahopdogs/create-account You'll need all the same things you would to take your dog to daycare (proof of vaccination, etc). But once you do this you can come back with Fido any time.

3. K&A charges for your dog to come in, so know that ahead of time.

What to expect of the meetup (in general) for new comers... people hang out and talk, meet each others - what you have in common is that you work from home, you picked to live in TC, and you're excited to get out of the house and meet some people.

What to expect for people new to K&A - the dogs run around like dogs and people and it's better than TV or a screen saver. The dogs can move freely between an indoor and outdoor space. It is fenced in. You'll need to pick up after your dog if that comes up. Mostly they run around in a pack and act like the furry idiots they usually are. Occasionally you hope out of your chair to go check on things. Everyone is watching the action so there is a bit of a "it takes a village" attitude. Every third dog is named Finn or Bailey. You get the idea.
