It's Holiday Party Time!!!

Please join us for the Twin Cities .NET User Group Holiday Party, hosted by our friends at Nagios Enterprises.

This year's party will include festive music, treats, AND a talk from Jay Erdahl called "Technical Team Resilience: Lessons from 20 Years, 200 Developers, and 60 Marathons"

Resilience isn’t just a personal trait — it’s a critical capability for any team. Drawing on over two decades of managing development teams and doctoral research in technical team resilience, Jay will explore how organizations can build stronger, more adaptable engineering teams that thrive under pressure, recover from setbacks, and continue innovating. This talk will include examples of how hiring, training, and team culture can be reimagined to cultivate resilience as a team superpower, not just a soft skill.

To bring these lessons to life, Jay will draw parallels from his personal endurance journey — including 60+ marathons, Ironman triathlons, and 100-mile ultramarathons — showing how training for long distances teaches many of the same lessons needed to build high-performance, resilient teams in tech.

Attendees will leave with specific techniques they can apply on Monday — whether they manage teams or contribute to one — to reduce burnout, improve retention, and create healthier, more capable teams.

Doors open at 5p, pizza and socializing at 5:30, and we'll start the talk around 6 PM CST.

Nagios Enterprises is at 1295 Bandana Blvd N, Suite 310, Saint Paul, MN 55108. Grab any non-reserved spot or any spot marked "Nagios." If there's overflow, feel free to park in the ramp.

When You Arrive: Enter through the main entrance on the Coach Road side (South side) of the building. The meetup will be held on the third floor, Suite 310 (look for the Nagios "N"). We'll also have people around to give directions.

After the talk we hope you'll stick around for of Jay's homemade holiday cookies and some yuletide cheer.
