About us
Are you preparing for the TCF Canada exam, like me, and looking for people to practise with?
Studying alone can sometimes be challenging, so why not get together, share ideas, learn from each other and improve our French?
This group is exclusively for TCF Canada exam preparation, for learners around B1–B2 level who are aiming to achieve NCLC 7.
What will we do?
• Focus on TCF Canada speaking exam tasks.
• Practise exam-style questions with a timer, following the official exam time limits.
• Work in pairs, taking turns as the candidate and examiner.
• Switch roles so everyone gets a chance to speak and practise.
• Use simple feedback forms to evaluate the clarity of ideas, arguments, examples and organization.
• Share suggestions and learn from each other’s responses.
How does feedback work?
You don’t need to be an advanced French speaker to give helpful feedback!
Instead of correcting each other’s grammar or pronunciation, we’ll focus on questions like:
• Was the speaker’s opinion clear?
• Were the arguments convincing?
• Did they provide relevant examples?
• Were the ideas easy to follow?
• What could make the response stronger?
This way, everyone can give and receive useful feedback, whether they’re at B1 or B2 level.
We’ll share the exam questions before each meeting so everyone can come prepared.
We’ll start with speaking practice and may introduce TCF writing tasks later on. ✍️
☕ A little note: This is a friendly group, but our meetings are strictly focused on TCF Canada exam preparation, not general French lessons or casual conversation. Everyone will have a chance to participate!
