Evening Tulip Photography at Washington Park!

Be aware that there will be multiple meetups scheduled for the sake of light & weather opportunity and varying schedules of members.

Weather permitting: Light rain is a great time to photograph the tulips however if there are strong winds or heavy rain this meetup will be cancelled, or go at your own discretion.

It’s that time of year – Spring has sprung. The long, cold winter is over and it’s time to get outside and enjoy Albany’s annual spectacle of blooming tulips!

Items to consider when photographing the tulips:

-Tripod

-Water spray bottle

-Consider a cushion/mat for sitting, laying down or kneeling (grass is damp by natural dew in the am, after any rain, and after the flowers have been watered)

-Small mat boards to use as backdrops

-Reflector and diffuser (consider making your own reflector out of cardboard and aluminum foil!)

We will meet over by the Moses Fountain where the tulips are blooming about 6pm. Feel free to come/go as your schedule allows. This is not a workshop however we will offer camera tips and creative/artistic tips for those who ask.
