Lulu EthioVegan kept their Vegan Chef Challenge dish on the menu. Let's show our support!

Join Compassionate Action for Animals for a fun evening at Lulu EthioVegan to try their Chili Fries — with award-winning Ethiopian-spiced chili and non-dairy cheese and sour cream. It was so popular during the Twin Cities Vegan Chef Challenge that they kept it on the menu permanently!

🌟 What to expect: This is a casual, social evening centered around good vegan food and community.

🍽️ Why dine out with us? When we gather at restaurants offering vegan options, we’re showing them there’s a customer base for good, plant-based food. Plus, it's a great way to discover restaurants committed to offering compassionate choices.

🌱 About the Twin Cities Vegan Chef Challenge: Each August, restaurants across the Twin Cities create new vegan dishes for this month-long competition. The 2025 Twin Cities Vegan Chef Challenge drew over 1,600 votes from diners across the metro!

🎉 Who should come?

  • Anyone who loves trying new restaurants and great food
  • People curious about plant-based eating (you don't need to be vegan!)
  • Folks looking to meet friendly community members
  • Anyone who wants to support restaurants offering more vegan choices
