Large Language Models (LLMs) are evolving beyond chat into tools that can make decisions, call APIs, and automate real-world tasks.

How do they work, what can they do, and how can you use them? Join Ovi to explore LLMs as practical tools and learn how to apply them in real life.
This session is for everyone — developers and anyone curious about AI.

🎤 Workshop

Overview:
We’ll start by exploring how LLM APIs work, including tool/function calling and structured outputs.
From there, we’ll walk through real-world examples such as automating real-time simulations, games and using AI as a brain in the environment around you.
Whether you're a developer or simply curious about AI, you’ll leave with a clear understanding of how to apply LLMs to real-life problems.

Format:
Presentation + Workshop + Q&A

Duration:
About 30 - 40 minutes (the rest of the time will be a networking part)

Note:
No equipment needed: speaker will handle all setup

🧑‍💻 About Ovidijus Parsiunas

Ovidijus is a Software Engineer from the UK who recently moved to Japan. A Machine Learning enthusiast since 2017, he has implemented multiple AI-driven solutions and is an experienced presenter on AI/ML topics. He owns several popular Open Source libraries including Deep Chat, MyVision, and Agentic Airport, and is one of the few people worldwide to have contributed to Open Source every single day for the past 6+ years. He was also a former member of the Machine Learning Tokyo group, which he joined back in 2018.

🗓️ Event detail

You can meet people from diverse IT backgrounds at a cozy bar in Shibuya. This is an excellent opportunity to connect with new people and explore career opportunities. I aim to keep the event casual.

I plan to divide the participants into several groups and change the group members once or twice so that everyone can get to know more people! (I'll leave the rest of the time for free interaction.)

Past participants 👨🏻‍👩🏻‍👦🏻‍👦🏻 (backend engineer, frontend engineer, infra engineer, data engineer, company executives like CEO, CTO, freelancer, digital nomad, PMO, recruiter, people looking for an engineering job, traveler, new graduate, etc...)

The reception will start at 17:55 to let people check in smoothly.

- Pay in advance （Stripe）：900 yen (Pay here)

- Pay onsite：1000 yen (cash or PayPay)

- If you sign up for this event but end up not coming, please cancel as soon as possible. If you don't cancel before the event starts, others might be prioritized to join next time.

- If the event is canceled by the organizer, a full refund will be provded. No refunds will be issued for participant cancellations.
