AI-Assisted Coding: Workshop & Networking 🧑‍💻 🤝

We are very excited to announce our upcoming workshop! We will welcome Jonas Felix, a software engineering expert, as our speaker. He will talk about AI-assisted coding, which has become increasingly common for boosting productivity nowadays. This workshop will help you gain new insights into this evolving field.
We will also host a Q&A session and a networking opportunity. You can ask Jonas any questions about what you’ve learned, and connect with other attendees who share your interests. We look forward to seeing you there!

🎤 The details of the workshop
AI-assisted Software and DevOps engineering

Let's take a practical tour exploring a collection of AI assistants and approaches helping us write code more efficiently and get it built and delivered smoothly. As a live coding demo, you'll see different models, tools, strategies, and scenarios. We'll look at tools like Continue and Cline which you can seamlessly integrate into your favorite code editor to have chat-based, autocomplete, and also agentic workflows. Those tools allow you to choose your LLM model, so you can switch to whatever model is performing best at the moment. We'll also look at command-line tools to automate simple but cumbersome steps like generating conventional git commits. And of course, we can also take a look into how to use local models for your development workflow.

Jonas has been coding since the late 90s, built and sold multiple companies, has been active in Open Source communities for many years, and loves to teach as well as inspire others. He is giving talks and workshops all over the world about software engineering, DevSecOps, and Cloud Native technologies.
