AGENDA OVERVIEW
In 2011, venture capitalist, Marc Andreessen, famously declared that software was “eating the world” (Software is Eating the World). Not only has the past decade proven him right but, due to the pandemic, this relentless innovation (powered by Artificial Intelligence) has now accelerated exponentially beyond what any of us could’ve imagined before COVID-19.
“By 2023, over 500 million digital apps and services will be developed and deployed using cloud-native approaches – at least 90% of new enterprise apps will embed artificial intelligence. This explosion of new digital apps and services will define the new minimum competitive requirements in every industry.” — IDC
Citizen Developers to the Rescue!
With a crippling and growing global shortage of software developers today (69% of employers struggled to fill tech positions in 2020 and by 2026 the shortage of engineers in the US will exceed 1.5 million), it’s clear that companies will need to rely on non-technical employees using no-code tools (Citizen Developers) to build the millions of AI-powered apps that will automate the world and our future.
Post-pandemic, companies are forced to finally embrace no- code applications and the democratization of technology innovation to include all employees! But this will be a herculean challenge for both companies and workers. Here’s a sobering static:
According to a recent survey of 1,000 professionals across industries, 82% of people have no idea what ‘no-code’ means — Despite massive growth in no-code, only 18% of people are familiar with “no-code” — Rise of the No-Code Economy Report by Formstack
No-code development will completely restructure how organizations operate and build technologies and will place a huge burden on Human Resources to transition the workforce by upskilling and hiring for this very NEW job and skillset now.
Join us for an informative, thought-provoking discussion with three experts who will have plenty of ideas on how companies can transition their organizations to the empowered, no-code workforce of the future and feed the software beast!
