Innovation and change are often challenging to drive within the context of a given company culture. Yet, the growth and longevity of the enterprise ultimately depend upon innovation. The most productive, successful, and satisfying work environments share common and profound ways to foster and execute innovation strategies.

This engaging and interactive talk discusses how to successfully drive real innovation in companies of varying organizational structures. The concept of "project, product, and solution" based companies is introduced to identify several corporate cultures and levels of organizational maturity.

Hard-won, practical lessons are offered to the participants toward driving real change and innovation through the "consigliere" model of product leadership in each culture. Lastly, the discussion explores the possible use of "fractal" descriptions of company structures as potential methods to describe and execute innovation and change.

Participants will experience new ways to view and interpret the impact of company culture on driving new products, and gain unique, personal insights for their own career in the context of existing company culture.

Steve Gladstone:

Steve Gladstone most recently led the organization that innovates and defines next-generation In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) application-based solutions for Panasonic Avionics Corporation.

He has held executive leadership positions spanning multiple fields: engineering, real estate, financial, automotive, health care, and technology professional services. Serving in roles within IT, systems, products, programs, and software development, he balances theory, practical knowledge and seasoned experience to lead focused, commitment-based teams to innovate and deliver comprehensive solutions. He planned and built a complete corporate IT organization, processes, and culture for the largest residential real estate company in the United States. Frequently sought after as keynote speaker, he enjoys sharing insights on a wide variety of organizational, technology, and industry-related topics.

Mr. Gladstone led the team at Panasonic Avionics that created “neXperience” (formerly “FlightPath”), an innovative, paradigm-shifting software suite that enables next-generation IFE interactive solutions. In 2009, neXperience was selected as the winner of the prestigious ITCA Mercury Award in the Innovation category. In 2010, neXperience also garnered an IDEA award.
