What we’re about

Welcome to Tenderfoot Adventures (55+), a meetup group with a full-time event planner. My name is Weston Williams and I organize all of the treks, hikes, excursions outings, overnight trips, and vacations, (domestic and international). In all, Tenderfoot Adventures enjoys some 200 events throughout the year. This is a business organization that has been around for 20 years which I have been running full-time for 9 years, as part of two businesses that I own, so there are some fees involved, as explained below.
Our group is comprised mostly of retired people, both singles and couples, who love to keep fit physically, socially, and mentally and have a commitment to stay fit and live life with joy and energy, taking responsibility for our health. We happily accept active people of all ages. We hike, walk, snowshoe, bike, and occasionally do other activities.
Dogs are not allowed because our insurance company does not allow anyone to bring along ANY animals (except of course certified service animals) on our events and excursions.
So many adventures, so little time. We hope that you enjoy your Tenderfoot experience and as I always say, "I work for you, the member, you tell me what you'd like to go do, see, and experience and we'll do our best to make it happen."

Overnight Trips and Vacations
The cost of overnight trips and vacations is variable. All overnight trips will include trip and route planning and guidance. Trips of this type require more planning and thought and so the costs will be set accordingly. Depending on the destination, attendees will either A) make and pay for their own lodging at whatever hotel has been determined as the destination or B) if lodging is in a single unit cost, such as renting an entire house, cabin, castle, or campground, the cost will be included in the price of the trip. Meals in restaurants are paid for by individuals. Group-prepared meals are made with supplies provided by members.
