What we’re about
Welcome to the Buxmont Ladies Social Group! We are a group of diverse women within our 30s and 40s located in the Bucks and Montgomery county area of Pennsylvania.
We have been an active social group for over 5 years! ( We took some time away from meetup during the pandemic, but we are thrilled to be back! )
Our group includes women of all backgrounds! Single, Married, Moms, etc. Our goal is to bring women together to connect and socialize!
**However, We do ask that our members be within their 30s and 40s. There are quite a few active meetup groups in our area for other age groups. We encourage you to check them out if you don’t meet our age requirement.
We host various social events throughout the year and are always welcoming new members. We encourage members to also host their own events too! Some examples of our past events are walks, wineries, brunches, coffees, movie nights, bookclub, cookie exchange, and many many more.
Feel free to reach out with questions and we look forward to meeting you!
Here are just a few housekeeping rules...
- Be kind! We have an awesome and very welcoming group. If we see or get word that anyone is being offensive or rude, these individuals will be removed.
-Your profile picture must be of you! This is due to safety reasons and also makes spotting members at events so much easier!
- We do require all members pay annual dues ($6 for the year). These dues go strictly towards the fees for running the group page. Any events that require payment will be posted in the individual event's description. You can pay dues directly through meetup when you sign up Buxmont Ladies.
- No advertising or selling on this group page please! This includes marketing for personal businesses or any sort of situation where a profit can be made. We understand that many of our members are awesome entrepreneurs, but we really want to keep this group strictly social. We may offer opportunities where you may promote. However these will be announced.
- Please be mindful of attendance when signing up for events. Some events may have limited space. We do enforce a 3 no show policy. If a member does not show or is extremely late (over an hour) 3 times, we will remove this individual from the group.
-Please host an event! After you have attended 1 event ( we like to meet you first :) feel free to create an event! This is a great way to connect with members who share similar interests! Reach out to organizers and we can help you set this up!
-Most of all! Have fun!

- Sip Chat All the Light We Cannot See Book/MovieWegmans, Warrington, PA
All the Light We Cannot See is a 2014 war novel by American author Anthony Doerr. The novel is set during World War II. It centers around the characters Marie-Laure LeBlanc, a blind French girl who takes refuge in her uncle's house in Saint-Malo after Paris is invaded by Nazi Germany, and Werner Pfennig, a bright German boy who is accepted into a military school because of his skills in radio technology.
Feel free to read the book or just watch the movie, it is dropping on Netflix on Nov 1st. This was an excellent read, i highly recommend if you enjoy historical fiction. Join us for a coffee and discuss the book/movie.
- Peddlers Gingerbread StrollFree Will Brewing Taproom at Peddler's Village, Lahaska, PA
Join us for Xmas themed fun at Peddlers
We can meet at Free Will Brewing and then stroll the village, get some festive snacks like Clusters or Nina Waffles, highly recommend the hot spice apple cider from Chaddsford Winery. Dress warmly we will mostly be outdoors, hopefully there won't be too many crowds but it is a busy time of the year for the village so parking may be tricky.
- Holiday Tea time and Cookie ExchangeNeeds location
The Holidays are upon us and it's time to bring back our Annual Cookie Exchange! I will be hosting this year in my home. We will swap cookies, enjoy snacks, treats, and more. In years past, this has been a favorite event and I am thrilled we can bring it back! :)
Below are the details. Please make sure to read everything before committing to attend. This event will have limited spots, and an "alternative option" if you can't make the date :) See below:
1.) This event does require a fee to go towards snacks, drinks, etc. Please Venmo $10 to Chrissy (@ChristineTrageser) by Friday, Dec 8th. This fee can not be refunded after the 8th. Guests who have not paid by the 8th will be removed from the event.
2.) Please bake/make at least 5 dozen cookies, bars, etc to share. ( you are more than welcome to make more ) Bring them in a container that you can then use to take all your assorted cookies home in ( I will have displays and platters for your cookies to be on during the party ).
3.) Please post what cookie recipe you will be bringing by Friday, Dec 15th. Here is the link for the sign up : https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080A49AAAA23A2F49-46056920-buxmont
4.) Please add a link to your recipe on the signup or send Chrissy a picture of your recipe. I am going to attempt to create a QR code to share with everyone's cookie recipes.
5.) As for other food, since it's "tea time" I plan to have finger foods, snacks, coffee, tea, etc. If you desire to bring something else to share that is completely optional! We should have plenty and the $10 fee will cover this.
6.) Lastly, I will send out my address to those attending closer to the date. I live in Glenside (Abington Township), closer to Ardsley/Upper Dublin Township. We live on a one way road now (construction is done! yay!) and have plenty of street parking/sidewalks right out front of our house. Sunday afternoons are fairly quiet. Just a heads up I do own 3 very fluffy long haired cats (you probably won't see them). We do vacuum regularly, but if you do have cat allergies my house may not be a good option for you. Sorry!
DROP OFF OPTION: If you would like to participate in the swap and for whatever reason you can't make the in person event, I would love to offer a cookie drop off option. In this case you will drop your cookies off at my house by the end of Saturday, Dec 16th at the latest. I will create an assortment of cookies from the party for you and you can pick up from my house anytime after the end of the party on the 17th. ( We can arrange this). You will sign up like everyone else, send the recipe, etc. No $10 fee will be needed for this option. I understand this time of year is crazy and sometimes you can't attend everything, but that shouldn't prevent you from having cookies. ;)
If you made it this far! THANK YOU! Can't wait to see you all and please feel free to post questions below.
