One of the newest ISTQB Advanced Specialist module, the

Test Automation Engineer

was released by the end of 2016. We would like to have a discussion with you in Budapest for the first time ever about the achievements and experiences of this topic and of course about the module itself.

1. Ifj. Földházi Péter (EPAM Systems) - Becoming a Test Automation Engineer
   During the past some years, Software Engineering organizations realized the need to increase automated testing knowledge and retrain Functional Testers into Test Automation Engineers.
   The ISTQB General Assembly accepted a new syllabus, which provides these organizations a possibility to easily retrain their testers and give a wider and complete view of automation for non-testers as well.
   Péter will talk about how this new material has already helped him and his team on their new project. He will also give some insights about this new Advanced Level Exam in order to help examinees prepare for the first exam in Hungary on 27th October.

2. Tóth Árpád (Evertest) - How Protractor beats Selenium
   Have you ever heard about one of the latest automation tools, which is called Protractor? If you are testing a web-based application this is a must-have framework. You have to give it a try! This presentation gives you an overview about this framework originally developed by Google.

3. Szikszai László (EPAM Systems) - Business-focused performance testing
   There are many ways to measure the performance of an application. In his presentation, László wishes to demonstrate methods, which are business-focused and can be easily started, at the same time it identifies negative changes in performance as early as possible.
