Too often, we imagine that packing our lives tightly with measurable achievements is the path to success and happiness. However, as agilists, we already know that relentlessly prioritizing the time to reflect and improve is critically important for both sustainability and maximum effectiveness. We know that in order to help our teams improve, we have to work on ourselves as well. Why is it so hard for us to walk the talk? You've probably heard people talk about the flow of value through a delivery system. There is another type of Flow: an optimal state of consciousness where we are highly engaged, focused, productive, and blissful. The Flow state amplifies learning, motivation and creativity, all core competencies necessary for thriving in a world of radical change. In this session, you'll learn how to apply agile practices in your own life to increase the time you spend in Flow, as well as tools to help you turn self-sabotage into self-compassion.
