I’m new to Meetup myself and wanted to create something I felt was missing: a fun, casual group for people who genuinely enjoy going to the movies and meeting new people along the way.
I’ve noticed there aren’t many movie-going meetups where we can actually get together before or after the movie to talk about what we’re about to see, share our thoughts afterward, and just hang out. That’s what I’d love this group to be.
We’ll get together for new releases, big blockbusters, nostalgic favorites, horror, comedy, sci-fi, animation, and everything in between. The goal isn’t to be a super-serious film club — it’s about enjoying movies, having good conversations, and making some new friends.
Whether you’re a huge movie nerd, someone who just loves going to the theater, or you’re simply looking for people to catch a movie with, you’re welcome here.
