About us

The 713 Forum is a small, curated community for intellectually curious professionals who enjoy thoughtful conversation, challenging ideas, and meeting interesting people outside their usual circles.

Each gathering will center on a predetermined topic or question spanning business, technology, culture, philosophy, relationships, economics, politics, current events, and other subjects worth discussing. The goal is not to have everyone agree—it is to create an environment where people can disagree intelligently, ask good questions, hear different perspectives, and leave with something new to think about.

Events will generally be kept intentionally small, typically around 8–12 people, so everyone has a real opportunity to participate. Discussions will be structured enough to stay engaging while still feeling social and conversational.

This group is intended for educated, thoughtful, professionally established or ambitious Houstonians who value curiosity, open-mindedness, good conversation, and respectful disagreement. Members come from different industries, backgrounds, and viewpoints; what matters most is being able to contribute thoughtfully and engage with others in good faith.

Over time, events may also include dinners, social gatherings, guest speakers, and occasional structured debates.

If you miss having substantive conversations with smart people—and want to build genuine friendships while having them—this group is for you.
