Throughout the process of drawing cards for a tarot spread there is unlikely anyone who truly looks forward to drawing the "bugaboo" cards in a deck - those cards that are historically associated with negative meanings: loss, hurt, upheaval, death. Seeing those cards activates our subconscious fears and worries about failure, shame, guilt, and death.
