🌸 About the Exhibition
“Mokum” (Yiddish for “place” or “city”) is a loving nickname for Amsterdam.

This special exhibition explores the rich history of Jewish life in the city—from the first Jewish refugees in the 16th century to today’s diverse community.

Highlights include iconic figures like Baruch Spinoza, Samuel Sarphati, and Anne Frank, as well as important locations shaped by the Jewish community.

The exhibition also addresses the tragedies of World War II and the ongoing revival of cultural and religious identity.
