## Tribute to an unparalleled choreographer
The dance world is at a standstill following the news that master choreographer Hans van Manen has passed away at the age of 93. Van Manen was the Netherlands' most famous choreographer for over sixty years and is internationally regarded as one of the grand masters of contemporary ballet. With his unmistakably unique movement language and revolutionary ballets, he touched and inspired audiences, dancers, and choreographers worldwide. In April and May, the Dutch National Ballet will pay tribute to this unparalleled artist with five performances at the Royal Theatre Carré. With Van Manen's groundbreaking video ballet Live , combined with other iconic works by him, we commemorate and celebrate the choreographer.
