About us
The Film Photo Social is a laid-back group for people who are interested in film photography—whether you’ve been shooting film for years, just picked up your first camera, or you’re still figuring out what all the buttons do.
The idea is simple: get together, shoot film, experiment, and learn from each other.
We can plan casual photo walks, come up with creative themed shoots, explore interesting locations, practice portraits, model for each other, experiment with different cameras and film stocks, and share what we’re learning along the way. As the group grows, we can also organize trips, challenges, film swaps, print-sharing nights, and other ideas members come up with.
You do not need to be a professional photographer or model. This is meant to be a comfortable, collaborative space where it’s okay to try something, mess it up, learn from it, and try again.
Digital photographers who are curious about film are welcome too—but the group’s main love is analog photography and the experience of slowing down and creating something together.
Come with a camera, come with an idea, or just come ready to explore.
No competition. No pressure. Just photography, creativity, and good company.
