Attend SAT 3/4 at 8:00AM - Photo Walk in Downtown St. Petersburg

We must have a minimum of 10 photographers in attendance for us to award the prize money.
You are invited to join Chuck Campbell, our event host, for a photo walk through the waterfront area of downtown St Petersburg.
*** This event is open to all levels of photographers. ***

Chuck is a member of our meetup group. He is an outstanding photographer with many years of experience. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and helping others improve their photography.

On this photo walk, we will explore downtown St Petersburg including

• the always fascinating Dali Museum,
• walk along Bayshore Drive’s many marinas,
• explore the new 26-acre Pier, and
• walk down Beach Drive and its many restaurants and art shops.

Photo Opportunities
St Petersburg, Florida is a fast-growing city with a bustling downtown. You will have the opportunity to photograph various subjects including people, street scenes, architecture, an open-air market, boats, docks, etc.

You will be able to practice many photographic techniques working with changing light conditions, close-ups, composition, reflections, shadows, and graphic images.

Technical Information
Bring the following (if you have it and think it will be of value for you to create artistic images):

• Telephoto lens for situations when you cannot get close to the subject
• Polarizing filter to reduce glare in reflections or help you peer through reflective surfaces (e.g., water)

Meeting place
We will meet in front of the Museum of Fine Arts, 255 Beach Dr. NE, St Petersburg at 8:00 AM.

Parking
There is street parking on Beach Drive and surrounding streets. If not available, the Sundial Garage is located at 117 2nd St N. and is open 24/7 for $1/hour.

CONTEST
Once the Meetup ends, we will create an album for you to post your three (3) best photographs from the event.

The winning photo will win $100 and become the permanent album cover for the event.

Anyone clicking the photo will see the winner’s name, photograph title and feedback the image received from other photographers.

Please be aware that we cannot accept sexually explicit or suggestive photos for any of our albums.
