2nd Wednesday In-Person Meetup Special Event

2nd Wednesday In-Person Meetup Special Event

Studio Central, 11203 49th Street N, Clearwater, FL, US

Hello TAOP members,
Our regular Second Tuesday Meetup will be held at Studio Central, 11203 49th Street N, Clearwater, FL, on Wednesday, June 10, at 7:00 p.m.
Over the past few months, we have focused on studio lighting for photo shoots. In March, Chuck Campbell demonstrated his studio and lighting setups, and in April he led a hands-on group shot with professional models.
In May, Joe showed how to create a budget-friendly studio setup in your living room, with an emphasis on making the most of limited space.
In June, we will build on those techniques and experiment with slow-shutter-speed portraits for creative effects. Please bring your camera and tripod so you can take part in the live studio shoot. If you plan to use your phone, you are welcome to participate, but you will still need a tripod. This slow-shutter/double-exposure technique is a great opportunity to have fun and be creative.
Special note: If you are using a cell phone camera, please learn how to adjust the slow shutter speed and aperture settings before you arrive. These controls are usually located in your phone’s “Pro” settings, and YouTube tutorials may be helpful.
We will skip our usual photo review this month so we can spend all of our time in the studio creating images. We will not have models for this session, so we will take turns stepping in as subjects. It should be a fun Meetup, and I encourage you to experiment, make mistakes, and try unusual ideas—that is how we learn from one another.
I look forward to seeing you there. This event is all about learning, socializing, and having fun—so come ready to enjoy yourself.
Best,
Joe
