A COMMUNITY FOR ARTISTIC AND CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY.
Welcome to The Art of Photography International! Our purpose is to spark creativity, open new doors, incite discussion and learn from each other in a positive and sharing environment.
The basis of which is to facilitate the merging of the principles of art and graphic design with excellent camera craft. To take each one of us, no matter what level of experience, to places, levels and worlds that are out of our comfort zone. To grow, to see, to inspire unique visions. Our review/discussion programs, our photo shoots and educational sessions are free. Your submissions for discussion are for you to choose without regard to theme or genre.
The Art of Photography began as a museum art school program in 2002 and has expanded to over 20,000 members worldwide. So many of whom have grown into exceptional photographers that are hugely represented in international award shows. Thank you for your interest and good shooting.

Instructions to Submit a Photo for a Zoom Session
ā Go to The Art of Photography International, and click on the relevant Zoom session under Upcoming Events. Then scroll down to find the Welcome screen.
ā Upload only ONE photo to the Session album AFTER you see the āWelcome ā¦ā photo slide (AFTER 5 pm on Sunday and BEFORE the day of the Sat/Sun of the Session).
ā If you don't see a Welcome screen, you are either on the wrong page or too early to submit for the upcoming session.
ā You must be attending in order for your image to be reviewed during a session.
ā A maximum of 30 photographs will be considered for review as time and content allow.
ā Following the sessions the albums will be deleted after 5 pm on Sunday. If you wish to save your image and comments move your photo to the PHOTOGRAPHERS OPEN FORUM album.

DAY OF THE DEAD - Esplande Park, Fort Lauderdale, Saturday, November 7th 2026
Arts & Science District Garage, 101 SW 5th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312, Fort Lauderdale, FL, USYou are cordially invited to this annual āout-of-the-ordinary" Day of the Dead photowalk event to challenge your Street Photography skills, as well as sharpen your urban scenery talents. Youāll be able to practice Street / Documentary Photography under various types of lighting conditions, while anticipating and executing under exciting decisive moments opportunities.
The Downtown Day of the Dead Celebration in Fort Lauderdale is a special festival that will happen on Saturday, November 7th, 2026, at / and around Esplanade Park (400 SW 2nd Street, Fort Lauderdale), along the Riverwalk. The FESTIVAL is from 3:00 ā 5:00 pm, with displays of āDay of the Deadā costumes, performers, interesting characters, and food vendors. This celebration culminates at dusk with a spectacular STROLL at 6:00 pm. There is a BLOCK PARTY from 5:00 to 11:00 pm on SW 3 Avenue. The whole event runs from 3 pm to 11 pm. Come and enjoy all of it OR just the parts you want.
Parking can be found at the Arts and Science District Garage and the Government Center Parking Garage.
Weāll meet and start our photowalk at the front of the AutoNation IMAX Theater right across the street from Esplanade Park on W. Las Olas at 4:00 PM. After we convene you can enjoy the event and leave at your convenience.
Parking: There is metered street parking and parking garages around the area.
Photos opportunities: This is a great opportunity for street photography, costumes, makeup artists and performers.
What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes, a moderate zoom and / or wide-angle lens.
TAOP PHOTO CHALLENGE - A Day of the Dead Album will be created for the event. Post three (3) of your best photographs from the event. Submission deadline is FRIDAY THE 13TH 2026 at 7 pm.
A BEST PHOTO FROM THE MEETUP ALBUM WILL BECOME THE PERMANENT COVER FOR THE EVENT and the name of the winning photographer will also be displayed on the album cover. There will not be any honorable mentions.
