We invite you to attend the first event of our photography learning program - MOTION.

Over the next few months, the Tampa/St Pete Chapter will deliver a learning program comprised of two-session events led by Chuck Campbell.

Each two-session event consists of

1. an online learning session
2. an on-location practice workshop

In this first event Chuck will provide instruction on CAPTURING MOTION IN AN IMAGE using a variety of in-camera techniques.

This online learning session will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

We will follow the learning session with an on-location workshop in Tampa.

• At the workshop we will practice a variety of methods for capturing motion in-camera.

The on-location session will take place within one to two weeks after the online session. (An invitation to the on-location meetup will be posted soon. Stay tuned.)

Chuck will discuss several topics during the two-session Motion event, including the following.

• Panning horizontally and vertically
• Zooming your lens in and out
• Front and rear curtain sync
• Longer exposures - Capturing waves, clouds, ghost images, windblown objects
• Shooting from a moving vehicle
• Smoothing out waves using longer exposures
• Implying motion
