Learn How to Improve Your Photography

Details

Become part of our photography community and benefit from our many years of professional and teaching experience. We are here for you and our only interest is in helping you reach the goal you set for yourself as a photographer. In order for this program to work most successfully for you, it is very important that you post one (1) of your photos when you sign up for the session. (Don't forget to title your work.) It's impossible to help you improve your photos without your photos. The submission deadline is Sunday, April 7 at 7 PM ET.
Our comments will be directed to your work to improve your photography. We promise that we will find something nice to say about each photo. When applicable, we will also gently suggest changes, that you can take or leave. They could improve your photos technically, artistically, or creatively.
What's in it for me?

  • You could hear what is working well in your photos and constructive suggestions about what may improve them.
  • You could see something interesting and learn something new.
  • You could have fun with a community of people interested in better photography.
  • The price is right (free).
  • The quality is high. Our founder Jack is art school-educated (MFA/MS Photography) and a successful retired professional commercial/advertising photographer. Our co-founder Judy is an award-winning/published photographer with a master's degree in computer systems.

Security
Once the session is in progress, we use a waiting room. If you arrive late, you'll have to wait for admission. Your Zoom and Meetup IDs must match; if they don't, then make us aware of the mismatch. We request identification from generic users (e.g., "iPhone") and if we get no response, we disconnect them. We disable users' ability to change names or run videos. Do NOT click/tap on links in the chat unless they are posted by our event hosts.
Note: Please be aware that according to Usage and Content Policies: Rules for Using Meetup, we cannot accept "nude or sexual photos" or "gratuitously graphic, disgusting, obscene, or violent content" for any of our albums.
