August in-person Meetup at Penera's

Hello TAOP Members,
Let me start out by saying if you were not able to attend our first non-photo shoot event at Panera’s Monday night you missed a great opportunity to learn and socialize with fellow shutterbugs. This is what Bob B. an accomplished photographer had to say:
Joe, thanks for organizing this photo review event. For folks who didn't attend, if you want to take your photography to a new level, a camera or lens isn't the answer, it's seeing your work and the work of others analyzed. An old adage is you don't know what you don't know. Do this a few times and there is no question you will be taking way better photos. And unlike a camera or lens that will just make sharper, well exposed poor images, you will be making better shots starting with capture. If you are a beginner, we all were beginners once, It was anonymous unless you wanted to say it was yours. I think you will see that there are several common errors that occur over and over, and you will learn to recognize them before you click the shutter. If Joe does this again, even if you don't submit any photos, come out and I guarantee you will learn. Great event, Joe.
So that one is behind us but a new one is in the works. Save the date Monday August 12th 7:00pm at Panera’s Feather Sound.
In preparation for this meetup, we would like to send out a challenge. On the 12th we would like to invite you to pick out two or three photos you have had a chance to do some edits on and tell the group your thought process in editing the photo. Why did you do what you did. Tell us the story you were trying to tell, why did you crop a certain way or why you decide to edit to black and white. This is not a critique meetup, there is no right or wrong, you are the artist. Be sure to include the original (before edits). Feel free to include multiple edits on the same photo. This is all for fun and learning from one another. Share what you want to share.
