Photography Walk and Social Saturday Market and Mainsail Art Festival

March 28th Street Photography at the St. Petersburg Saturday Market and Mainsail Art Festival, followed by a social at Ford’s Garage for lunch and beverages. We did this event last year and received rave reviews for the outing so of course it called for an encore. Let’s plan to meet at 10:00am in front of the Rowdies ticket windows. We will wait till 10:15 for anyone wishing to meet up, after that we will be hitting the sidewalks for some picture taking. The Market is crowded with bargain hunters, live music, puppies (who doesn’t love puppies?) fresh produce and prepared food. The Dali Museum is just around the corner for some architectural photography as well as the St. Petersburg Marina.
We can spend some time at the Market and then make our way to the Mainsail Art Festival. There are shuttle trollies to transport us back and forth between events. Last year we gave this event only two hours, that gave us very little time at the Art Festival, so this year we added an extra hour. Depending on the weather and the heat that will probably be enough.
Parking in the downtown garages is very reasonable, about $5.00 for the day. At 1:00pm we will meet at Ford’s Garage for some food and drink for anyone who would like to socialize with your fellow shutterbugs.
