RINGLING MUSEUM OF ART PHOTOSHOOT -- FREE entry

RINGLING MUSEUM OF ART PHOTOSHOOT -- FREE entry

John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, 5401 Bay Shore Road, Sarasota, FL, US

Come join us for our first photoshoot of the new year at The Ringling Museum of Art and Gardens. Admission is FREE on Mondays which will make this teriffic event even more enjoyable. The Ringling is one of the preeminent arts institutions in the United States. At the heart of its story is the life and legacy of John Ringling and his wife Mable, and their shared desire to make Sarasota a world class destination.

The museum offers a world of subject matter to explore:
. Collections of famous art and dozens of statues & park scenes
. Ringling history & architecture, including Ca 'd'Zan Summer Mansion
. Beautiful photographic marble hallways & venues inside and outside
, Beautiful gardens, park, flowers, and tropical plantings

The Ringling 33 acre venue provides us with a wonderful opportunity for plants, statues, art, glass sculptures and magnificent architecture to photograph, as we meet together as a community of photographers and share some thoughts and ideas about future events as well.

Some suggestions on camera equipment:

DSLR or Mirrorless are fine
Cellphone cameras work well, particularly indoors/low light
A moderate zoom lens or one slightly longer works well. A standard lens that comes with your camera is fine, Your camera doesn't make the image, you do, with your eye, your heart and brain, The camera just records what you decide to capture.
