“OVERVIEW OF DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY” is a free series that runs for THREE consecutive Wednesdays, starting on October 13, 2021 at 7:00 PM. The class is held in a virtual setting using Zoom. The link to the class is available once you register for the class.

This is an OVERVIEW class, designed to assist photographers in firming up photography principles and developing a good working knowledge of their camera. The goal is to make you more comfortable with your equipment so that you can capture the images envisioned. We want you to learn how to go beyond the average snapshot into the world of The Art of Photography.

The class will be taught by the three expert photographers / instructors that taught this course when it was “live” in the Downtown Fort Lauderdale Library and they will cover the following topics:
• Camera Components and Lenses
• Camera Features and Limitations
• Image File Formats, Memory Cards, Focus, Light Metering
• Best Practices and Importance of Developing Good Habits
• Importance of Light
• Exposure Components, Exposure Compensation and Effects to Image
… and Many Other Answers to Beginner Photographers’ Questions

IMPORTANT TO NOTE…
• No specific camera make or model will be covered since each one has its own features
• You need to be generally familiar with your camera’s workings [YouTube is GREAT source]
• General “Menus and Controls” will be addressed in the course -not brand / model specific

Please be considerate and join the class early to be ready when it starts / Post your questions in the “Chat” room and they will be addressed throughout the session / Keep your audio muted unless your question is being addressed for clarification
