Come join us for this amazing Lauderdale-by-the-Sea photoshoot. Put on your creative hat, grab your gear, and take full advantage of the day's last throes of sunlight. We'll check out the bustle of the boulevard, sunset over the beach, and ambiance that attracts many to this seaside city. For those looking to capture long-exposure images, bring a tripod.

Also known as magic hour, this time of day will provide you with exceptional photographic opportunities, including dramatic light & shadows, backdropped by gorgeous skies of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, the Commercial Pier, twinkling palms, and coastal charms.

Known for its relaxed, small-town atmosphere, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is a walkable plaza district, running from A1A westward along Commercial Boulevard, so keep gear to a minimum. Bring cameras, tripods, or cell phones. Keep yourself mobile. Don't leave gear unattended. Have fun with us!

Before the shoot, meet at Beach Pavilion at Lauderdale-By-The-Sea. After the shoot, we'll optionally meet again back at Beach Pavilion at Lauderdale-By-The-Sea by 7pm.

PHOTO CHALLENGE
Once this Meetup event ends, we will create an album on the Photos page. Please post up to three(3) of your best photographs from the event before 7 PM (ET) on Thursday, Nov 13th.
Eligible photos:

  • Must be taken on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at Lauderdale-by-the-Sea.
  • Must be posted before the deadline.
  • Have fun, get creative and show off your artistic side.

This album will be reviewed. The winning image will become the permanent album cover of the event. The name of the winning photographer will appear in the album title.
