About us
The Art of Teaching Argentine Tango is a space for those of us who have moved past the initial excitement of learning the dance and are now invested in the craft of passing that knowledge on to others. Whether you are currently teaching classes, assisting a partner, or just starting to explore what it means to articulate the mechanics and musicality of tango, this group is for you. We focus on the challenges of communication, how to break down complex movements into digestible concepts, and the responsibility of guiding students through their own tango journeys.
Our meetings are informal sessions where we can share ideas, troubleshoot pedagogical hurdles, and support one another in becoming more thoughtful instructors. We believe that teaching is an ongoing process of learning, and there is immense value in exchanging perspectives on how to foster a welcoming, effective environment for our students.
