Join us for our First Annual “Weird and Wild in the Woods” Camping Retreat for Women!!!
Where women's retreat meets summer camp meets primitive party in the woods!
Friday – Sunday, September 12-14, 2025 | Cosby, TN in the Smoky Mountains
### Let your weird and wild flag fly!
Imagine a judgement free zone and welcoming, supportive, FUN space to explore and reclaim your weird and wild nature!!! Through embodying more of our weird and wild nature, we reclaim more of our power.
We’re talking a hike/dance through the Smokies, self love body painting, talking to trees, weird wardrobe party, somatic education and intuition development, morning movement that feels good and crystal bowl meditations, fun games and DIY fairy houses, dancing around the fire, dips in mountain streams, all complete with healthy, nourishing meals.
As an added BONUS, retreat attendees will be invited to gather for a complimentary Pre-retreat somatic workshop on zoom, “Cultivating Inner Safety” ($120 value!)
We’ll explore simple but powerful somatic tools to create calm, safety, stability and groundedness in the body so you can move through life calmer and arrive at the retreat grounded and resourced before gettin’ weird and wild! Receive the zoom workshop invite upon registration.

### What do we mean by Weird and Wild, exactly?
This event was inspired last summer when I went to the woods to recharge because I was feeling low. I found myself dancing weirdly and wildly barefoot in a mountain stream by myself, and I thought “how freaking fun would this be with other women on a camping retreat?!” And the name “Weird and Wild in the Woods ” was given to me. A year later it’s coming to fruition!
Weird: “of strange or extraordinary character : ODD, FANTASTIC, relating to or caused by the supernatural: MAGICAL”
Weird derives from the Old English noun wyrd, essentially meaning “fate” and the power to control one’s destiny.
Wild: living in a state of nature; not subject to restraint or regulation : UNCONTROLLED, deviating from the intended or expected course; a wild, free, or natural state
“To be a wild woman means to establish territory, to find one’s pack, to be in one’s body with certainty and pride regardless of the body’s gifts and limitations, to speak and act in one’s behalf, to be aware, alert, to draw on the innate feminine powers of intuition and sensing, to come into one’s cycles, to find what one belongs to, to rise with dignity, to retain as much consciousness as possible” – ‘Women Who Run With the Wolves’ by Clarissa Pinkola Estes.
We’ll have experiences to explore and express our weirdness in all definitions of the word — strange, magical, odd, supernatural, fantastic and experiences to connect with our wild nature.
