Eclipses: The Cosmos and You

Join us for a live presentation with Drew Levanti about eclipses. With eclipses coming up on September 7th and September 21, 2025, it is an excellent time to boost your knowledge of eclipse charts and how to read them, all while reflecting more deeply on our shared human connection to the mysteries of light and dark.

This is a pay-what-can in-person event at the New York Theosophical Society. You may also join the Zoom livestream that night for a small $5 required ticket fee. This fee is necessary to prevent Zoom bombers.

Event Description:

When an eclipse lands in your chart, it gets existential. Some of the most dramatic events on the astrological calendar, they create watershed moments in our development.

Turning points — initiations, even — eclipses signal it may be time to see things in a new light. The familiar becomes strange and change comes knocking.

If even the light of the Sun can disappear in an instant, then how could we possibly take anything for granted? When the altered light of an eclipse reaches important degrees in your chart, you may find yourself questioning the paths you’ve chosen, and you may even decide to embark on a new one.

In this talk, we’ll explore the essentials of eclipse interpretation. You’ll learn about the four different kinds of eclipses, the unique energy of each, and how to identify key eclipse activations in your chart.

This will be an interactive experience, as you’ll be invited to reflect on your personal intersection with eclipse cycles, guided by a worksheet designed to help you pinpoint past eclipses that have activated your chart. And of course, we’ll take a look at some of the upcoming eclipses.

Using real chart examples, we’ll see how eclipse activations shape the serpentine paths of our destiny.

A suggested donation is $5 -$30 is very VERY much appreciated, but please know whatever you can afford is acceptable. Donations collected pay our rent, Meetup.com fees, beverages and snacks, and the honorarium for Drew Levanti. Recording:
If you can’t attend live, you are welcome to buy a livestream ticket to get access to the recording. The recording will be shared with all livestream ticket buyers as well as individuals who RSVP yes for the event on meetup.com. The meetup takes place at the New York Theosophical Society, which is next door to the Quest Bookshop. You may enter through the bookshop before 7 pm (when it closes) or to the left of the bookshop after 7 pm.
