Tired of sitting behind the computer and endlessly reading about bitcoin & ethereum? Well here's your chance to come out, enjoy some beer & pizza and meet like-minded people who are also passionate about the same movement.

Our first Canada Bitcoin Blockchain meetup at Paytm Labs was a huge success! We learned about OpenDime (https://opendime.com/), Paycase (http://www.paycase.com) & Jaxx (http://jaxx.io) and had blockchainers from IBM (http://ibm.com), BMO (http://bmo.com) & Deloitte (http://Deloitte.com) join us. A big 'thank you' to all the people who came out and took part. We've posted the pictures from the last event and if you attended, please be sure to leave a review and upload your pictures. For our next meetup, we have another exciting line up of speakers.

Wrap up.--------------------------------------------- For the next meetup, we're bringing together the following SIX blockchain meetup groups: Decentral (https://www.meetup.com/DEC_TECH/), Toronto Ethereum (https://www.meetup.com/torontoethereum/), Blockchain Toronto (https://www.meetup.com/Blockchain-Toronto/), Bitcoin Bay (https://www.meetup.com/Bitcoin-Bay/), Toronto Digital Currency & Compliance (https://www.meetup.com/Toronto-Digital-Currency-Compliance-Meetup/) and Canada Bitcoin Blockchain (https://www.meetup.com/CanadaBitcoin)!

Bitcoin blockchain is an innovative payment network and a new kind of money. It uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority or banks; managing transactions and the issuing of bitcoins is carried out collectively by the network.

Bitcoin (http://bitcoin.org/) is open-source; its design is public, nobody owns or controls it and everyone can take part. Through many of its unique properties, Bitcoin allows exciting uses that could not be covered by any previous payment system.

Ethereum (http://ethereum.org/) is a public blockchain platform with programmable transaction functionality. It provides a decentralized virtual machine that can execute peer-to-peer contracts using a cryptocurrency called Ether.

Special thanks to Paytm labs for the venue, chairs, A/V, food and drinks. To learn more about Paytm Labs, click here (http://paytmlabs.com/).

We'll also make every effort to make this meetup available online for people around the world to access. We'll be sending out a video conference link to all confirmed attendees an hour before the meetup begins.
