This is an opportunity to volunteer your time with our small group to help pack meals for starving children across the world. This is a surprisingly fun activity! I was skeptical the first time I was invited, but it is SO MUCH FUN. Most positions are very fast paced and high energy. They play fun rock and roll music during a "shift" to help pass the time, and some people enjoy some friendly competition. But most of all, knowing what a real difference you are making feels so good.
Everyone ages 5 and up is welcome. The work is performed assembly-line style. Some roles are seated, but most are standing. Some roles require lifting and a lot of walking.
You don't need any experience, training, or gear... just yourself! Everything you need is provided. Please try your best to RSVP accurately, so that FMSC has an accurate estimation of volunteers.
Some guidelines:
-Please arrive ~15 minutes early for some brief meet-and-greet
-Bring a friend or partner. The more the merrier, but please include them on your RSVP
-Please wear close-toed shoes
-Please remove jewellery before arrival
-The food packs contain soy as a main ingredient, which is a common allergen
We will meet outside, by the volunteer entrance. Come out and meet our small group!
