THE WALK
A 5.5 mile 3 Boot walk leaving Abbotts Leigh across fields towards Leigh Woods where we'll pass Stokeleigh Camp enroute to Leigh Woods nature reserve with it's lovely views over the Gorge. We'll then make our way to Paradise Bottom before making our return journey to our start point at Abbotts Leigh.

START TIME, PLACE & PARKING
Meet at 6.00 pm for a prompt 6.15 pm start from the Holy Trinity Church, 41 Church Rd, Abbotts Leigh BS8 3QT. Please arrive in time to park and "kit up.
There is on street parking along Church Road and by the Church, please show consideration for local residents when parking.

AFTER THE WALK
There will be the opportunity to stop for a drink at The George Inn, Manor Rd, Abbotts Leigh BS8 3RP after the walk for those who would like to.

DOGS
There is space for up to 2 well behaved dogs which are agile enough to cross stiles/gates etc. Dogs must be kept on leads when using foot paths that cross private land. Please let me know if you wish to bring a dog.

WEATHER
If very bad weather is forecast the walk will be cancelled by 4.00pm on the day of the walk at the very latest. PLEASE CHECK ON THE DAY BEFORE YOU LEAVE FOR THE WALK.

CANCELLATIONS
If you sign up and then decide not to go, please change your RSVP to NO so someone else can go. Please remember to do this even when you are on the waiting list.

Boot rating system for walks here:
**1 Boot** \- For all walkers\. Mainly flat surfaces\, minimal ascents & descents\, around 4 miles on well\-defined paths\.
**2 Boot** \- Suitable for most walkers\. Small ascents and descents 4\-6 miles typically\, in countryside on rough paths\.
**3 Boot** \- For regular walkers\. One or more steep ascents/descents 6\-8 miles on rough terrain\.
**4 Boot** \- Suitable for strong walkers\. Hilly terrain\, with steep/long ascents/descents\. More than 8 miles\. e\.g\.\, Brecon Beacons or Mendips\.
**5 Boot** \- Suitable for strong walkers\. Hilly terrain\, with steep/long ascents/descents\, often on loose terrain\. More than 10 miles in challenging terrain \(e\.g\.\, Snowdon or Pen\-y\-fan\)\.
