What we’re about
The Broward County Archaeological Society is a chapter of the Florida Anthropological Society. The BCAS has been established to provide a formal means by which individuals interested in Anthropological studies relating to southern Florida & the Caribbean Basin may come together to share and promote their mutual interests. While those interests may include the broad field of anthropology our primarily focus is on the archaeological record of southeastern Florida. We are dedicated to the preservation of that record and to educating the public about Florida's rich cultural heritage. Monthly lectures may cover the entire range of archaeology from Classical Greece and Rome to modern studies of tribal New Guinea. Classes in hands-on archaeology are also offered via our Saturday workshops. Visit www.pbmnh.org Programs and Events or find us on Facebook under The Palm Beach Museum of Natural History for more details.
