And yet… you’re exhausted. Not just tired—burned out in a way that sleep, smoothies, and a weekend off can’t fix.
This group is an educational and exploratory space for women who are navigating burnout and want to understand what’s happening beneath the surface—without being told to hustle harder, "manifest" more, or blow up their lives and start over in the woods.
Inspired by our work at the Burnout Clinic at Phoenix Rising Family Medicine and the Energy Generator Program, this community explores evidence-based tools and insights that help women understand and support their energy, mood, and well-being—on their terms.
We’ll dig into:
- What burnout actually is (and how to tell if you’re in it)
- The science behind why women are especially vulnerable to it
- How nutrition, movement, boundaries, and nervous system regulation impact energy
- The role of intuition and how burnout silences it
- Practical ways to recover without a total life overhaul
This is a learning space—a think tank for women who are ready to be more informed, more self-compassionate, and more powerful in how they respond to burnout.
Bring your questions, your curiosity, and your coffee. Leave with insight, solidarity, and tools that actually make sense for your life.
🧠 What We Explore Together
Our events and conversations focus on:
What is happening on a CELLULAR level when you are in burnout mode:
- Why you are gaining weight and don't understand why
- Why you're so. Damned. ANGRY all the time (even if your life is pretty solid on paper)
- Why you feel like a garbage dumpster fire, but your labs keep saying you're "fine"
- How resentment may actually be an ally
- Why nutrition, exercise and sleep don't fix burnout (sure - they help...but they are only about 1/3 of the picture)
Different burnout types (yes, there’s more than one)
- Warrior Burnout
- Fortress Burnout
- Winging-It Burnout
Why “just rest more” doesn’t always work
- Sure - sometimes rest is the answer. But what do you do when you take a rest period and get just enough space to realize that your real problem is that your LIFE is exhausting?
- And sometimes? That "rest" you're trying to give yourself is actually aggravating the situation further (it just depends on what burnout type you are in)
Tools to support energy regulation: food, boundaries, rest, relationships, and more
Nervous system science meets real-world practicality
- We will talk about the Cell Danger Response and how stressors in our lives affect us alllll the way down to the cell (the mitochondria) and why that steals away your energy.
- We will talk about why some of the tools you have been given may actually be aggravating the problem...because you may have been given the wrong tool for your burnout type
We offer a mix of free virtual meetups, discussion prompts, and gentle guidance toward deeper support if/when you want it.

- The most common signs of burnout women don’t realize are burnout
- Women who are burned out often gain weight even when they haven't changed their diet - they think their "metabolism is just slowing down"
- They are exhausted... but can't sleep - They think they might have hormone imbalances
- They name emotions like resentment and dread...but they think it just means they are losing their cool
- Why high-functioning, caring women often resist naming it
- HINT: It feels like they are saying they don't love their kids/parents/pets/spouse/etc.
- Why women are more prone to burnout
- HINT: They wear more hats
- What’s really at stake when we say “I can’t do this anymore”
- They might have to start saying "no" which means conflict...and they are already exhausted
- Why many women would rather be given a cancer diagnosis than be told they are "burned out"
