Come out to Improving for our monthly iOS and Mac meetings.

This Month's Presentation:
CRDTs for offline collaborative applications
Michael Geiger

Collaboration should be effortless, online or off. This talk shows how CRDTs enable real‑time, consistent editing without locks, spinners, or merge conflicts, focusing on product value: always‑available editing, seamless sync, and a foundation for local‑first design. We’ll touch just enough on semi‑lattices and vector clocks to guide decisions, then cover when CRDTs beat centralized approaches, how to choose among CRDT styles, and a practical checklist to ship local‑first collaboration.

Michael is a Product-Minded Full-Stack Software Engineer, passionate about speed, humane interfaces and collaborative tools
