Let’s Talk About Social Media

How is social media actually working for you?

Maybe you’ve made close friends through Reddit or Discord. Maybe you’ve met someone through Instagram or a dating app. Maybe you’ve found an online community that genuinely feels like home.

Or maybe you’re tired of scrolling, getting ignored, dealing with unwanted attention, or having dozens of online interactions that never seem to turn into actual relationships.

We want to hear about it.

We’re bringing together a small group of adults ages 25–45 for an open conversation about how we meet, talk, flirt, make friends, find communities, and build relationships online.

What’s working? What isn’t? What makes you want to respond to someone? What makes a conversation feel genuine? Why do some online connections turn into lasting relationships while so many others disappear?

We’re especially interested in bringing together people with different experiences. You don’t need to love social media—or hate it. You don’t need to have the answers. Come with your own experiences, some curiosity, and a willingness to hear how other people experience the internet differently.

This isn’t a debate about who has it harder. It’s a chance to get off our feeds for an evening and actually talk about how we use them.
Because we want to keep the conversation small enough for everyone to participate, space is limited.
