Santa Mateo Holiday Games & 20s Social with The Connections Collective

Join The Connections Collective for a holiday-themed meet up as we hit the streets of Downtown San Mateo on a secret holiday mission! Enjoy an evening of fun, connections, games and meeting new friends in their 20s. 🎉

This event is designed to support the unique experiences of those in their twenties, especially those navigating mental health conditions. We know reaching out and making new friends can be challenging, so we’ve created an event that makes it easy to relax, connect, and enjoy some fun games!

What Is Santa Mateo?
Santa Mateo is a holiday scavenger-hunt adventure that sends groups throughout Downtown San Mateo to complete fun challenges at local restaurants, shops, and bars. You’ll see up to 200 Santas and holiday characters roaming the streets competing in mini-games for a chance to win entry into a final raffle!

The mission runs from 5:30 - 9:00pm, ending at a local bar where we’ll gather for an (optional) live auction, raffle drawings, and some extra celebratory cheer. Along the way, expect food and beverage moments and plenty of other surprises.

Costumes & Inclusivity
This event is 21+. Costumes are required (or at least very strongly encouraged!). Dress as Santa or any holiday figure you love.
And while Santa Mateo is Christmas-themed, the event itself is for everyone, not only people who celebrate Christmas. We welcome people from all backgrounds and traditions.

Registration
To reserve your spot, please send the $5 fee via Venmo (@oliviaheffernan13).
This covers your RSVP and helps support the cost of hosting community events. Everything during the activity is free unless you choose to purchase food or drinks on your own.
If the fee is a barrier, please reach out, we never want cost to prevent anyone from joining.

Parking & Transportation
Downtown San Mateo has plenty of garages and street parking.
The San Mateo Caltrain Station drops you right in the heart of the action if you prefer public transit. If you are planning on having any drinks, ride share is recommended.

Location
The event will take us all through Downtown San Mateo doing different activities. We'll start at O'Neill's at 5:30pm to get started. If you can't arrive right at 5:30pm, no worries! I will send out my phone number beforehand so you can find us.

This is a very low-stress, supportive event, and we’ll make sure everyone feels welcomed and included. If you have any questions at all, feel free to reach out!
