What we’re about
Welcome to The Connections Collective that is put on by NAMI SMC (The National Alliance on Mental Illness, San Mateo County). The Connections Collective is a supportive and inclusive space specially crafted for individuals navigating the unique challenges of their twenties. We understand that reaching out, making connections, and forming friendships can be daunting, especially when faced with the complexities of mental health conditions.
In this welcoming community, we recognize the struggles that some may face, whether it's battling anxiety, depression, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the demands of life. The Connections Collective aims to be a lifeline for those who find it challenging to put themselves out there, offering a safe space for individuals seeking genuine connections and understanding peers.
The Connections Collective has monthly meet ups where we do fun activities together such as bowling, escape rooms, game nights, mini golf, cooking classes, and many more. The group is made to connect with other people in their 20s, have fun and provide a supportive environment for people to feel comfortable talking about what they're going through. We aim to foster a sense of belonging, support and connection.
We hope you join us in building this community together!

Details:
Join The Connections Collective for a Giants Baseball Game! This will be an evening of fun, connections, and meeting new friends in their 20s. 🎉This event is designed to support the unique experiences of those in their twenties, especially those navigating mental health conditions. We know reaching out and making new friends can be challenging, so we’ve created an event that makes it easy to relax, connect, and enjoy some baseball together.
The event will be at the Giants stadium at Oracle Park in San Francisco. The game starts at 6:45pm and they are playing the St. Louis Cardinals!
If you're able to arrive early, we will meet at Spark Social at 5:15pm for food. This is entirely optional, you can also meet us at the stadium at 6:45pm. Spark Social is a great, fun place with tons a food trucks and a nice outdoor area. We will grab a quick bite to eat then take the short walk over to the stadium to watch the game. Learn more about Spark Social here: www.sparksocialsf.com.
Whether you come with friends or venture solo, everyone is welcome. This evening will be very fun and relaxing, even if you're not much of a Giants fan.
Registration:
The fee covers your ticket for the game and is required at time of RSVP. The current fee is $25 to cover any unexpected fluctuations in the ticket price. The tickets will most likely end up being cheaper, in which I will send some of the money back to you. To ensure everyone gets seats next to each other, please try to RSVP as early as possible and make your payment by Venmoing @oliviaheffernan13.Besides the ticket price, everything is free unless you choose to purchase any food or drinks.
If you are not financially able to afford the fee, please reach out to me so we can discuss other options. We don't want financials to be a barrier to attending!
Transportation & Parking:
CalTrain is an easy and convenient option. The SF station located at 4th and King Street gets you walking distance to Spark Social and the Giants stadium. There is some parking around Spark Social but it can be hard to find and expensive. Same with parking near the stadium. I recommend trying to take public transit or a ride share. As it gets closer we can coordinate some carpool options or people taking the train together. What to Wear:
It gets cold in the city, especially at night, so please plan to dress warm and bring extra layers.Extra Details:
Before the event I will send out my phone number and more details on how to find us. This event is very low stress so we will make sure everyone feels included and welcomed into the group. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message.Looking forward to a fun evening at the baseball stadium with you all!
